Rotherhams wrist watch, made in London c.1911
Rotherhams are well known for making pocket watches however they didn't make a lot of wrist watches making this beautiful example a rear find
18ct yellow gold case with a very slight rose tinged 18ct expandable bracelet
The width of the watch is 29.8mm excluding the crown and is able to fit a wrist size of 150mm with the bracelet loose or 170mm with the bracelet stretched out
The 3/4 plate movement is signed "Rotherhams, London, 191719" and contains 17 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement and Breguet Hairspring
The watch has to be wound everyday and the time is set by holding in the small button on the lower right and turning the crown
The movement has been serviced and comes in running condition
The white enamel dial is in very good condition and is also signed "Rotherhams, London"
There is a monogram engraved on the back of the case with the letters either HK or KK - I'll let you decide
Please note that this watch is over 100 years old and, although it has been professionally restored by ourselves, this watch will not keep time as accurately as a modern timepiece. There may also be minor scratches or dents in the case & bracelet. Again, we have done our best to make this watch perfect however there are some marks that were too deep to buff out.
This watch is not in any way water resistant - keep away from moisture and dusty/dirty enviroments
